Rick’s Righting: June 25, 2021

From the Pastor

What a great couple of weeks it has been. We had our celebration Sunday with breakfast, and worship. It was a fun, worshipful time together and a great reminder of what we miss when we don’t gather together. Kids Camp followed with a lot of laughing, smiling, children learning about God’s love for them. Thanks to Randee and all the volunteers and everyone who contributed to the many items needed to make everything work. This week, Meghan has been working hard on Mission Week. Meghan together with the youth and adult volunteers have worked hard all week to improve the lives of people in our community as well as teach the youth about being part of God’s work in the Kingdom.

Last Sunday, we met our new pianist, Nichole Ying. Nichole is working on her Doctorate in piano. She is attending the University of North Texas. We feel truly fortunate to have her on our staff bringing her talents to our worship service. AND if you haven’t heard, our choir is back, and they sound sooo good!

Tracie and I will be away on a vacation for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, Doug Bridwell and Rod Sutherland will bring us the message on June 27th and July 4th. I am so very grateful for both Doug and Rod and am looking forward to hearing both of them bring the Good News of Jesus Christ.

July looks to be great month FUMC Bridgeport. Along with our Sunday worship of God and Wednesday Bible study, Meghan has regular events planned for the youth. We will also meet with the other Wise county United Methodist Churches on July 18th for an evening of fellowship, food, song, and prayer. Remember that you are loved by Almighty God!

May God’s Peace and Grace be with You!
