Rick’s Righting: April 2, 2021

From the Pastor

Celebrating life does not always change life, but it can. This Sunday, we will celebrate Easter. The traditional festival day to remember Jesus’ resurrection from death. The early Christian’s believed and taught that all of creation was changed by the death and resurrection of Jesus. At times, I wonder what really has been changed in the world of human beings. Are we better than we were? Or have we accepted that rescue from death, life beyond, is that all there is to celebrate? Granted, that is a lot to be joyful about. I know this thought alone can give me hope and strength in weary times of fear or great loss. But what if there is more to God’s wonderful story in Jesus Christ? What if Jesus is…?

Join us this Sunday and let us celebrate and find out together what else God is up too.

The celebrations begin at 7:00 a.m. at Lake Bridgeport Methodist Camp, Flowering of the Cross at 10:00 a.m. in our Sanctuary and continues with our traditional service at 11:00 a.m. Come to one or come to all, let us celebrate Easter together.
