Tracie and I are going on a quest. We will be in search of rain and cooler temperatures. We have done this before and it has never failed that when we are away, home gets a cool front, sometimes with rain! Of course, upon our return, the temps go back up.

What’s even better than cool temperatures, is the lineup of guest preachers! This Sunday, August 7th, Rev. Woody Weilage will bring us the message. Woody is a retired pastor who even served Bridgeport as an interim pastor. On Sunday, August 14th, Rev. Todd Harris, our District Superintendent (D.S.) will bring the message. Todd also has many years of pulpit experience. Even though I will have to watch our service on Facebook Live, I am looking forward to hearing the Good News from both of these excellent preachers. Make sure and save me a doughnut from each of the services. So that makes 2 stale doughnuts with sprinkles!

I am grateful for everyone who serves to help us walk closer with our Lord and drink deeply from the living water of Christ Jesus.
