Bridgeport, Texas is a growing community offering small-town charm and booming opportunities on the outskirts of the DFW area.
The city of Bridgeport, TX, lies at the Wise County crossroads of two vital residential and commercial growth corridors on the outskirts of the DFW Metro area: US Hwy 380 and Texas Hwy 114.
As the footprint of the DFW area continues to expand, the most rapid growth is occurring in places like Wise County, Parker County (just to the south), and Denton County (just to the east). With a rich history of fostering a close-knit community, our city of approximately 6,000 residents is in the process of experiencing rapid growth. Nearly 2,000 homes are slated to be built within city limits in the near future, and nearby growth around Lake Bridgeport—a popular recreation area in the region—and Decatur are bringing more people to our parish area every year.
As a community, we take pride in the growth and strategic planning of Bridgeport Independent School District as more and more families choose to raise their children in our city. New residents find a mix of small-town life and close access to the resources of the larger DFW area.
