Downtown Christmas Parade: December 5, 2024
Thursday, December 5, 2024
5:00 p.m.
The Christmas Parade is coming together nicely! The float will be lit up in blue lights with a Live Nativity of Mary/Joseph, baby Jesus, and the angels. In the back of the truck, we will have a few members of our choir singing Christmas songs with Doug and Dan leading us on their guitars. There will be several “walkers” beside the float that will hand out cards with some information about our Christmas Season services with an attached candy cane that tells the Legend of the Candy Cane.
This was a large undertaking for the short time we had to prepare so I want to give a big THANK YOU SHOUT OUT to the following people: D’Anna Garrett, Lisa Davis, John and Beverly Crisp, Kurt Kronenburger, Shelley McComis, Laurey Stowe, Nyree Shawn, Doug Bridwell, Pastor Rick, and of course your office crew as well as all the people who have volunteered to participate in the parade! The youth will be decorating the float on the Wednesday evening before the parade. Please forgive me if anyone was left out!!!!
Donations for lights, signs, various other decorations, haybales, and candy canes are welcome!
Volunteers Needed to Help Decorate the Float!
We will start decorating the float after church on Sunday, December 1st. We will share pizza and begin working. We will also work on it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons/evenings. We would appreciate any volunteers!
